Don't Put Your Butt Anyplace Else!Put your butt in one of our tubes and let the river decide your pace! Float the water in an inner tube - the most personal contact you can have with the river. Our most popular river activity, tubing is the perfect way to soak up the sun, laugh with your family and friends, and cool off on a hot, summer day. We provide the tube, life jacket, and shuttle to and from the river. The river provides the fun! Bring a cooler or rent one from us and share a picnic on the water. Your tube ticket is valid all day and allows you to run as many tube trips as you want within our scheduled hours of operation. Age restrictions apply to both flatwater and whitewater tube trips and are dependent upon river conditions. All tubing participants must know how to swim! Bring your own cooler and rent a cooler tube to float your drinks at your side. BTI has coolers available for purchase in our retail shop. We also have a limited number of floating coolers available for rent. Reserve yours in advance! Have your own tube? We provide shuttle service and life jacket rental (required by the Division of Natural Resources). Flatwater-If you prefer a lazy river float or have smaller children in your group, choose our Flatwater Tube trip. The slow-moving current of the Potomac gently nudges you through the mountain landscape without the noise and commotion of the rapids. Flatwater tubers must be at least 5 years of age and weight at least 50 lbs. Whitewater-Want some excitement on your tubing trip? Brave the Needles Class I-II (beginner) rapids on the Potomac River as you try to stay upright on your tube! Whitewater tubing is our most popular river activity and for good reason. Experience the thrill of whitewater without the paddle! Whitewater tubers must be at least 12 years of age and weigh at least 50 lbs. Guides are available at an additional cost for whitewater tubing trips. A certified guide can aid tubers in rough water, explain local landmarks and history, and offer equipment assistance, thus putting you at ease on your trip. Guides for tubing trips must be reserved in advanced and are based on availability. |
Tube Season PassPlan on tubing more than once this summer? Purchase BTI’s Tube Season Pass and save! Good for 10 Tube Trips during the current operating season, our Pass includes an upgraded PVC tube with handles and saves you money and time. The Tube Season Pass must be purchased prior to trip date and cannot be used in conjunction with our large group discount plan. |
