Take a look, and see whats new! BTI Whitewater has done some updating to our website. There are new adventures and activities available this season at BTI, and a brand new online store. We are really excited about the 2010 season.
BTI Whitewater is premiering a new summer day camp. Camp Macadoah is going to be awesome! What we have planned for the kids is enough to make any hardworking adult jealous, but not to fear, we have some new adventures that are open to all ages. BTI is going to be rafting on the North Branch of the Potomacthis season! One inclusive price buys you a scenic drive through western Maryland, thrilling dam release ride through class II-III rapids with an experienced guide in every boat, bag lunch and all equipment needed. This is going to be a fantastic day!
We want to make sure you are getting all the information you need and keeping up with BTI this season. There is a new online events calendar to keep you up-to-date. BTI Whitewater has lots of plans for the 2010 season. From special events at BTI to community festivals we will be attending there will be a lot of information available on the calendar. Also, if you want to keep up with BTI this season follow us on Twitter and receive updates of all events and adventures.

BTI Whitewater is going to the North Branch of the Potomac River dam release!BTI is offering an all inclusive rafting trip running from Barnum, WV to Bloomington, MD. This trip is packed with excitement. It will include mostly class II-III rapids throughout, an optional 40ft cliff jump, wave trains and, of course, the beautiful scenery and pure water of Western Maryland and West Virginia.
Included in the price for this trip is transportation to and from the site, shuttle service throughout the day, bag lunch, use of a wetsuit and splash top, helmet, paddle, personal flotation device and an experienced guide in every raft. This is all available with no hidden costs for $115 per person.
The North Branch trip is a real escape from the day to day. You will check-in at BTI’s regular location, which is about an hour outside of Washington, D.C. Then board the BTI buss for a trip into the seclusion and serenity of the wilderness. The drive to Barnum, WV is approximately a two hour ride. Then you will embark on a fun and challenging rafting adventure.
The North Branch dam release trips will be offered April 10-11 & 24-25, May 8-9 & 22-23. This is not an overnight trip, unless you choose to drive your own vehicle to the site. There will be two trip times available on Saturdays and on trip Sunday.
No previous rafting experience is necessary. All participants must be, at least, 5 years or 50 pounds.

Starting in July 2010 BTI Whitewater will be the home of Macadoah River Adventure day camp!
Macadoah will welcome boys and girls ages 10-13 years for a fun and educational week including:
Whitewater Rafting
Kayaking
Canoeing
Tubing
Hiking
Field Day Games
Nature Science Scavenger Hunt
There will be eight one week sessions, with the option to register for more than one week if your camper would like to get more in-depth instruction on river activities, local ecology and history from our experienced guides and camp staff.
Session 1: July 5 – 9, 2010 Session 2: July 12 – 16
Session 3: July 19 – 23 Session 4: July 26 – 30
Session 5: August 2 – 6 Session 6: August 9 – 13
Session 7: August 16 – 20 Session 8: August 23 – 27
Each session will include pick-up and drop-off at several convenient locations, camp t-shirt, one group camp photo, a daily snack and water, use of all required equipment and transportation for all camp activities for an inclusive price of $300

We will be taking our first trip down the North Branch of the Potomac river this Spring and Fall and we want you to come along. BTI Whitewater’s experienced guides have been on this trip many times before, and now they would like to share the fun with you. These rafting trips will take place during the relese of the Jennings Randolph Dam. The dam release will raise the water level and provide plenty of whitewater! This trip will keep your heart pounding as you splash your way through class II-III rapids.
The North Branch Dam Release trip with BTI Whitewater will include transportation to and from the area. This feature is unique to BTI, and with gas prices on the rise once again, a welcome accomadation. Also, as a part of the trip each participant will receive a helmet, paddle, personal flotation device, wet suit and splash top, shuttle service to and from start and end points, a well trained guide in every boat and a lunch.
All participants will meet at BTI Whitewater and have the opportuntiy to enjoy the beautiful Maryland and West Virginia scenery on the ride, rather than being stuck behind the wheel. The rafting trip will put-in to the river in Barnum, WV and take-out in Bloomington.

BTI Whitewater will be starting a new and exciting initiative for 2010. We will be making donations on our customers behalf to one of four charitable organizations.
Look for BTI’s new brochures displayed around the area, and at several upcoming community events. These brochures will include a coupon. When you come in for any type of trip with BTI Whitewater, bring this coupon in. For every coupon that we receive, BTI Whitewater will donate $1 to one of four organizations working for the good of the community. The choice is yours, give your dollar to the organization that you wish and BTI will make the donation.
It has been a rough year for everyone, and sometimes we find ourselves cutting out charitable giving no matter how much we don’t want to. BTI wants to make it possible for you to enjoy your time on the river, and still be able to feel good about giving.
The brochures will be available in most locations by March 2010. Stay tuned for details of the particular organizations that BTI Whitewater will be working with.

BTI Whitewater would like to wish all of our wonderful customers, past and future, a very happy holiday and the best of luck in the new year. We love what we do here, and all of our adventurous customers make it all possible. So, for that we thank you all, and ask that you stay tuned for the 2010 season. BTI Whitewater will have some new adventures to offer.
