Take a look, and see whats new! BTI Whitewater has done some updating to our website. There are new adventures and activities available this season at BTI, and a brand new online store. We are really excited about the 2010 season.
BTI Whitewater is premiering a new summer day camp. Camp Macadoah is going to be awesome! What we have planned for the kids is enough to make any hardworking adult jealous, but not to fear, we have some new adventures that are open to all ages. BTI is going to be rafting on the North Branch of the Potomacthis season! One inclusive price buys you a scenic drive through western Maryland, thrilling dam release ride through class II-III rapids with an experienced guide in every boat, bag lunch and all equipment needed. This is going to be a fantastic day!
We want to make sure you are getting all the information you need and keeping up with BTI this season. There is a new online events calendar to keep you up-to-date. BTI Whitewater has lots of plans for the 2010 season. From special events at BTI to community festivals we will be attending there will be a lot of information available on the calendar. Also, if you want to keep up with BTI this season follow us on Twitter and receive updates of all events and adventures.

BTI Whitewater is going to the North Branch of the Potomac River dam release!BTI is offering an all inclusive rafting trip running from Barnum, WV to Bloomington, MD. This trip is packed with excitement. It will include mostly class II-III rapids throughout, an optional 40ft cliff jump, wave trains and, of course, the beautiful scenery and pure water of Western Maryland and West Virginia.
Included in the price for this trip is transportation to and from the site, shuttle service throughout the day, bag lunch, use of a wetsuit and splash top, helmet, paddle, personal flotation device and an experienced guide in every raft. This is all available with no hidden costs for $115 per person.
The North Branch trip is a real escape from the day to day. You will check-in at BTI’s regular location, which is about an hour outside of Washington, D.C. Then board the BTI buss for a trip into the seclusion and serenity of the wilderness. The drive to Barnum, WV is approximately a two hour ride. Then you will embark on a fun and challenging rafting adventure.
The North Branch dam release trips will be offered April 10-11 & 24-25, May 8-9 & 22-23. This is not an overnight trip, unless you choose to drive your own vehicle to the site. There will be two trip times available on Saturdays and on trip Sunday.
No previous rafting experience is necessary. All participants must be, at least, 5 years or 50 pounds.

BTI Whitewater would like to wish a happy and safe Halloween to all of our wonderful customers. The Washington, DC area is all a buz with anticipation of an exciting Halloween weekend.
BTI Whitewater will be open this weekend for whitewater rafting, ducky, canoe and rec. kayak trips if you need a bit more thrill than what the ghouls and goblins can provide. Also, the rich history of the Harper’s Ferry area will really enhance your Halloween experience. BTI Whitewater’s knowledgeable and experienced river guides can bring this history to life as you float, regaling some of the spine tingling tales of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers and the town of Harpers Ferry.
Also, this is the peak time to view the stunning Fall foliage from the river. When you are rafting or canoeing on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers you have the opportunity to see the foliage from a very unique perspective.

BTI Whitewater is still offering several fall activities in the Harpers Ferry area on the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers. There is still time to take advatage of the last weeks of warm Fall weather.
BTI is still offering several river adventures and unique experiences this season. Currently, BTI is accepting reservations for whitewater rafting, duckies, canoeing and kayaking and guided hiking. Any one of these activities will include amazing views of the changing Harpers Ferry area and fall foliage at its best.

Ti’s the season for canoeing! BTI Whitewater can provide you with a 1/2 day or full-day canoe rental and shuttle service for one price. This relaxing float down the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers is closer than you think. BTI Whitewater is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from Washington, D.C. A canoe trip will allow you to take in the incredible autumn scenery of Harper’s Ferry and the Shenandoah Valley. Bring your camera and prepare to be amazed. The foliage will be peaking over the next two-three weeks. The best way to take in this sight is on the river. Take some time out this fall and enjoy the natural beauty around you. It’s not too late!! BTI Whitewater will be offering guided hiking through November 15. Choose from beginner (2 hours), intermediate (5 hours) or advanced (7 hours) hikes through the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewadrship. BTI Whitewater’s experienced guides are eager to share the beauty and fascinating topography of this area. These hikes will take you through butterfly ally with over 60 different spieces of butterflys. Also, you will be able to enjoy an overlook view of both the Shenandoah and Loudoun vallies.
Reservations are required for all guided hiking in October and November. Call BTI Whitewater today, and try something different. Also, don’t forget to look for us at the Harpers Ferry Fall Festival. A half price discount for guided hiking will be available when you make reservations at the festival.
