The first North Branch dam release trip is coming up soon! April 10&11, 2010 BTI will be whitewater rafting on the North Branch of the Potomac river during the first of four scheduled dam releases. River levels will rise and class I-III rapids will be rolling down the exciting drop in elevation between the starting point in Barnum, WV to the end point in Bloomington, MD. This trip is action packed, including a 40ft cliff jump, if you are up for it.
BTI is providing all inclusive, up-front pricing for the North Branch trip. Every thrill seeker will receive transportation to and from the site, shuttle service between the start and end point, an experienced guide in every raft, use of all equipment (helmet, paddle, personal flotation device), bag lunch and use of a wetsuit and splash top. All this for $115 per person!

Calling all high water thrill seekers!!
BTI Whitewater is ready and waiting to take our first trip of the season on this first high water weekend! The rivers are up and on the move and it is the perfect time to come out and have a real high water adventure. This is going to be a great trip.

The weather this past week was just nice enough to get everyone talking about Spring, and we are ready! BTI has new trips and offers for the 2010 season and we are really excited to get started. Not even the weekend rain has dampened our excitement for the season.
North Branch Dam Release Rafting - April 10-11 and 24-25, May 8-9 and 22-23. This all-inclusive whitewater trip is going to be incredible. Class II-III rapids will get your heart pounding, and the beautiful Western Maryland and West Virginia scenery will relieve that rising blood pressure.
Camp Macadoah - New in 2010 BTI Whitewater will be hosting a summer day camp welcoming kids 10-13 years for summer fun on the river. Each one week session will include whitewater rafting, kayaking (depending on age and interest), canoeing, tubing, field day games and guided hiking. Pick-up and drop-off locations available.
Events all around the area - Keep up with BTI online and we’ll see you around the area. Also, check our calender for special deals and events all season long.
Vineyard Visits - Every weekend this Summer BTI Whitewater will be host to some Virginia’s finest vineyards. While you are at BTI you can sample some great wines and even buy a bottle to take home and enjoy while you rehash your river adventure.

Next North Branch Trip will be August 28 & 29!!
BTI Whitewater is going to the North Branch of the Potomac River dam release! BTI is offering an all inclusive rafting trip running from Barnum, WV to Bloomington, MD. This trip is packed with excitement. It will include mostly class II-III rapids throughout, an optional 40ft cliff jump, wave trains and, of course, the beautiful scenery and pure water of Western Maryland and West Virginia.
Included in the price for this trip is transportation to and from the site, shuttle service throughout the day, bag lunch, use of a wetsuit and splash top, helmet, paddle, personal flotation device and an experienced guide in every raft. This is all available with no hidden costs for $115 per person.
The North Branch trip is a real escape from the day to day. You will check-in at BTI’s regular location, which is about an hour outside of Washington, D.C. Then board the BTI buss for a trip into the seclusion and serenity of the wilderness. The drive to Barnum, WV is approximately a two hour ride. Then you will embark on a fun and challenging rafting adventure.
There will be North branch trips available in the Fall, please check back for specific dates.
This is not an overnight trip, unless you choose to drive your own vehicle to the site. There will be two trip times available on Saturdays and one trip on Sunday.
No previous rafting experience is necessary. All participants must be, at least, 5 years or 50 pounds.

Take a look, and see whats new! BTI Whitewater has done some updating to our website. There are new adventures and activities available this season at BTI, and a brand new online store. We are really excited about the 2010 season.
BTI Whitewater is premiering a new summer day camp. Camp Macadoah is going to be awesome! What we have planned for the kids is enough to make any hardworking adult jealous, but not to fear, we have some new adventures that are open to all ages. BTI is going to be rafting on the North Branch of the Potomacthis season! One inclusive price buys you a scenic drive through western Maryland, thrilling dam release ride through class II-III rapids with an experienced guide in every boat, bag lunch and all equipment needed. This is going to be a fantastic day!
We want to make sure you are getting all the information you need and keeping up with BTI this season. There is a new online events calendar to keep you up-to-date. BTI Whitewater has lots of plans for the 2010 season. From special events at BTI to community festivals we will be attending there will be a lot of information available on the calendar. We will be taking our first trip down the North Branch of the Potomac river this Spring and Fall and we want you to come along. BTI Whitewater’s experienced guides have been on this trip many times before, and now they would like to share the fun with you. These rafting trips will take place during the relese of the Jennings Randolph Dam. The dam release will raise the water level and provide plenty of whitewater! This trip will keep your heart pounding as you splash your way through class II-III rapids.
The North Branch Dam Release trip with BTI Whitewater will include transportation to and from the area. This feature is unique to BTI, and with gas prices on the rise once again, a welcome accomadation. Also, as a part of the trip each participant will receive a helmet, paddle, personal flotation device, wet suit and splash top, shuttle service to and from start and end points, a well trained guide in every boat and a lunch.
All participants will meet at BTI Whitewater and have the opportuntiy to enjoy the beautiful Maryland and West Virginia scenery on the ride, rather than being stuck behind the wheel. The rafting trip will put-in to the river in Barnum, WV and take-out in Bloomington.
